About this product

Product Information

The newly crowned King Arthur has yet to win the support of the people. Merlin must do something before the king is betrayed, or murdered, or--worst of all--gets married. So Merlin creates a trick: a sword magically placed into a slab of rock that only Arthur can withdraw. Then he lets it be known that whosoever removes the blade will rule all of England, and invites any man who would dare, to try to pull out the sword. But then someone else pulls the sword out first . . . .

This item didn’t come in exactly as pictured, but the seller responded immediately and was very gracious in offering me a partial refund even bough I wasn’t expecting one for what I paid for the item. I have bought from this seller before, and they are reputable and stand behind the products they sell. My other transactions with them have been perfect. Great communication. Packaging and price were good. Fairly fast shipping, too. Thanks.

This item came in exactly as pictured, and the seller posted immediately and was very gracious. I didn't ask for a partial refund. Why would I? I bought what I was expecting and received what I paid for the item. Not sure if I have bought from this seller before, but they are reputable and stand behind the products they sell. My future transactions with them will no doubt be perfect. Great communication. Packaging and price were good. Fairly fast shipping, too. Thanks.

The author didn't just tell the "facts" of the story, she made the characters come alive with her descriptions of their personalities and appearance (Morgause's elven locks of hair, for example). She vividly described the locations where the story took place: the landscape, the buildings, even the furniture (Arthur's uncomfortable throne, for example). I enjoyed reading this book. It was an easy read (this book may have been written for young adults, but that wasn't obviously stated, and that certainly didn't detract from it in any way) and I ...
